Money Wellness Approach
This is a truly holistic approach to financial coaching that uncovers the internalized beliefs and emotions behind an individual’s financial behaviour. By focusing on the whole person and not just the numbers, you’re able to transform your emotional relationship to money and from there get a personalized and achievable financial plan.
The ‘old’ way
Traditionally in financial services we only look at what we can see: Income, Spending, Saving, Assets, Debts, Investments and Insurance, and Cash Flow.
But there’s so much more under the surface that doesn’t get addressed:
- Fear of not having enough or running out of money
- Guilt about spending
- Shame about not being where we think we should be by now
- Feeling overwhelmed by money decisions
- Feeling anxious about money coming into our lives
- Feeling like we’re in financial quicksand
- Feeling constant stress about money and money decisions
- Uncertainty about our financial future
- Feeling we don’t save enough
- Feeling shame about carrying debt
All of this influences how we deal with our money, creates Money Stress, and since money is part of almost every part of our lives, it affects our sense of well-being.
The "new" way
The new approach looks at money from a much more holistic perspective, and creates a new approach. One that includes:
